Jacob Timms is a Salford born Artist B.1993,

His creative practice sits at the intersection of art, spirituality, and ecology. Exploring how these interconnected fields shape identity and belief in the Anthropocene. 

The work is intimate and responsive, influenced by direct engagement with place, capturing the textures and traces of lived environments and human experience. Through analogue photography, soundscapes + printmaking. Attempting to capture subtle, intangible elements beyond physical form, reflecting the temporality of life and the eternality of existence . 

In 2024 he began a research trip in India , documenting his time living with Sadhus, exploring the ecology and traditional practices of indigenous spiritual renunciate’s. He has since taken spiritual initiation from his Guru and been given the name Jaya Ram Das.
