Jacob Timms is a Salford born Artist B.1993,

His work explores landscape, divinity,  human experience + the environment.  Hispractice creates conversations around ecology + our evolving symbiosis with the natural world, highlighting the fragility of these relationships in the Anthropocene.

The work is intimate + deeply influenced by direct engagement with place, capturing the textures/traces of lived environments through analogue photography, soundscapes + printmaking. Capturing the subtle, intangible beyond the physical form and reflecting the temporality of life. 

He Graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2015 with a BA Hons in Fashion Communication & Promotion. He held the position of Creative Director at Where The Light Gets In & The Landing CIC (2022-2024).

In 2024 he began a research trip in India , documenting his time living with Sadhus, exploring the ecology and traditional practices. He has since taken spiritual initiation from his Guru and been given the name Jaya Ram Das.
